18" Deep Raised Beds

Our standard raised beds are built 18 inches deep — deep enough for strong root development on nearly any vegetable you're growing, without the excess soil (and expense) that comes with going deeper than you need. It's the depth we've found hits the sweet spot between healthy plants and a reasonable fill cost.

Standard width is 3 feet, available in 6-foot and 8-foot lengths. Need something different? We build to custom lengths and most widths to fit your space exactly.

24" Deep Raised Beds

Our 24-inch beds are built for anyone who'd rather not bend down to garden — the extra height brings the growing surface up closer to standing or seated reach, making planting, weeding, and harvesting easier on your back and knees.

The added depth does mean more soil to fill it. To offset that, we recommend adding a layer of raw firewood or logs at the bottom of the bed before filling with soil — a hugelkultur-style approach that cuts down on how much soil you need, helps the bed hold moisture, and slowly feeds the soil with nutrients as the wood breaks down over time.

Same sizing and customization as our 18" beds: standard width is 3 feet, available in 6-foot and 8-foot lengths, with custom lengths and most widths built to fit your space.
